How many sessions will I need?
The general recommendation is between five and ten sessions, depending on your issue. A recently new phobia or concern will probably be resolved in fewer sessions than a behavior or stressor that you've had for many years.

What happens in a session?
We usually begin with some tapping for calming and relaxation and then proceed to address an issue that you are interested in resolving. We are tapping for most of the session, as the continuous tapping really helps instill a calming effect as we speak about various aspects of events. The more you can remain in a calm state, the more perspective you can gain about situations and people in your life.

Do I have to discuss events that upset me?
No. One of the effective things about tapping is that we can address the emotions of an event without necessarily speaking about the details of it. You may find that after tapping for a while that the emotions surrounding an event have lessened and you may have a shift in perspective about that event.

For the sessions to be most effective, and for you to start managing the emotions that once derailed you, it is recommended that you notice your emotions regarding issues outside of the session and tap on them in the moment if you can. There are ways to tap that are unobtrusive and still effective. Recognizing the events that upset you will help you start taking charge of your reactions so that you can express your best self, as you define it.
